Let
me introduce myself, Hello my name is Gary, along with my pit
crew Linda. We put on and race the local club and state race
series here in Florida.
I have been involved in this hobby for many years. I am the
current FORGASS President and the V/P of the Charlotte County
R/C Race Track.
I
started out when I was a teenager running electric pan cars.
After a long break I decide to get into nitro cars. My first
car out of retirement was the Associated NTC3, this car at first
was great, when running smaller tracks, it is the car of preference.
But this car just could not stay together long enough to finish
a 30 minute main on a large track. So I did some research and
decided to try the Mugen MTX-3.
I am very impressed with the
performance of the MUGEN MTX-3. What a car this is, very competitive
and ballistic!! This car is easy to tune, easy to set up and
easy to fix in the rare cases it breaks.
The 2003-2004
Race Series has come to and end. After placing 7th place in the
State Series and 2nd in the Bandits Series. It was a good year
with the Mugen! Special thanks goes out to my pit crew, Linda
and Ken! Good Job!!
The 2004-2005 Series
is upon us, Currently testing our new MTX-3 prospec and JP FX-03.
We will see what in store for this up coming series.
NEWS:
The prospec was the car of champions. The JP Black motor on the
other hand was not. The red clay came lose in the motor and distroyed
the motor. We send it to Mugen were it sat for 3 months and when
we got it back it was a dog and did not want to run. The Nova
Max was a new motor just coming out so I deside to give it a try.
What a motor, consistant!! It lasted all season long and on it's
final race (The Region 4) was still fast!!

With the conclusion of the State
Series, The Winter Nationals in Fort Myers, the Nitro Show Down
in Kissimmee, the 2004 Region 4 held in Fort Myers and the Lakeland
Series we are exhausted!
The
State Series was pretty tough, a lot of heavy competition. We
made and huge jump from 22nd position to 12th position were the
last race we finished 4th in the A main.
This years Winter Nationals was one big learning experience. We
finished 8th in the E main (wow) our first time racing a big event
like that.
But the 2004-2005 Lakeland Series was another story. We dominated
the field and finished 1st
The 2004 Region 4 race, Sundays mains were ruined by a down pour
of rain so were you qualified Saturday was were you finished and
we qualified 6th in the A main.
The last race of the season will be in Miami; this is where we
will get our trophy for the State Series.
The price of staying up front was very costly this season, but
if you want to stay on top it’s the price you have to pay.
Special Thanks to Ravi at Fast n Furious for all the support and
help. (Congratulations on the little one) and Rafael for his help
in car set up at the Winter Nationals it has paid off. Special
Thanks to my close friends Rudy, Mr. Bad2theBone Charley for their
help with pitting when my pit person was not there to help, Thanks!!
